acupuncture for TMJ


Good habits for TMJ patients.
 
 
  • Use both sides of the teeth evenly (meals, etc.).
  • Should not be sitting cross-legged when you sit on chair.
  • To sit by distributing the force evenly on both hips when sitting.
  • To stand with the weight and strength evenly in both legs when standing.
  • Use a pillow for the cervical disc to maintain the normal curve of the cervical spine (c-shaped) when you sleep. recommend for TMJ patients lie straight on your back (rolled a large bath towel, chopping to the neck for sleep better)
  • If your side sleeper you better be laid both side of back evenly.
  • Recommends avoiding to chew gum or hard foods.
  • Better to fix the habit of cupped chin for TMJ patients.
  • Should not talk a lot when you have limited jaw movement or pain.
